All the seeds are available in single packets and most are also included in one of the World Of Chillies seed collections. All seeds come attractively packaged in red foil packets, in fully labelled inner bags with a growing instructions leaflet.

African Bird, Wild, Chilli Seeds x 12£1.65This tiny little piquin shaped devil is rated in the top ten for it's strength. They grow on small rounded bushes in prolific numbers, small upright chillies just 2 cm long literally covering the plant. Wild African Bird chillies are almost indistinguishable in taste from the Piri Piri and they grow wild across southern Africa. Maturing to a bright red, this little chilli is proof that dynamite comes in small packages.

African Devil or Birds Eye Chilli Seeds x 12£1.65The African Devil is also known as African birdseye, African Red Devil or Piri Piri. Its Scoville heat unit measurement is 225,000, less than a quarter of the heat of the world's hottest chillies but still pretty spicy. The short, narrow chillies ripen to a spicy red that sit proud on the plant. African Devil chillies are used in cooking throughout Southern Africa, especially to accompany chicken and fish and they are the main ingredient in the world famous Piri Piri sauce.

Aji, Golden Chilli Seeds x 12£1.65The Golden Aji is a variety of chilli coming from the lowlands of Peru, where Aji literally means 'chilli'. It is a popular chilli for its distinctive fruity flavour and gorgeous colour that imparts itself into food it is cooked in. Golden Aji is fairly large chilli plant which is relatively cold-tolerant. Golden Aji pods grow to around 10cm and are pretty hot at around 100,000ScU.

Anaheim Chilli Seeds x 12£1.65Tall, high-yielding plants are named after their area of origin, near L.A. Smooth, thick-skinned pods have two separate cells. A good stuffing chilli that freezes well too. 1,000ScU.

Ancho Chilli Seeds x 12£1.65A type of Mexican Poblano; large, glossy, heart-shaped pods that mild and aromatic. They are used green for stuffing and dried to dark brown for use in Mexican moles. 1,500ScU.

Antillias Carribean Chilli Seeds x 12£1.65Red fruiting Scotch Bonnet with quite large globular shaped fruits, 5 x 3 cms. Used for cooking and ideal for sauces. Extremely pungent and strong aroma. This is an extremely hot chilli, packing a punch at 300,00 scoville units in fruits about 2 inches in length which start out a brilliant lime green, maturing through orange to red. Fruits are borne on a medium sized plant, around 70cm to 90cm with a very open habit. Antillias Carribean won a Royal Horticultural Society Award Garden Merit in their 2006 Chilli Pepper Trials.

Bishop's Crown Chilli Seeds x 12£1.65Bishop's Crown chillies are a very unusual-looking variety of chilli originating in Barbados. Chilli pods resemble, yes you've got it, a Bishop's hat with their three distinct sides. These chillies are also sometimes known as 'Fryer's Hat' chillies and 'the Christmas Bell'. The wings of the pods are mild and sweet-tasting but the centre of the chilli pods are pretty hot.

Bangalore Torpedo Chilli Seeds x 12£1.65The Bangalore Torpedo is native to eastern India. Long thin fruits reaching 12cm that drop like pendants from the plant, maturing from light green through to red and becoming hotter and hotter as they do. A very pretty, classic chilli that matures quickly in 90 – 100 days.

Originating in Assam in northeastern India, this superhot chilli is documented in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's hottest chilli. It topped the scales at over a million Scoville heat units, with an official rating of 1,001,304. The chillies are large, crumpled wedges that ripen fom green to red, becoming unbelievably hot as they do so. But the mighty Bhut is grown not just for its immense heat but its fresh citrusy flavour which adds a new dimension to spicy dishes

Bhut Jolokia, Chocolate Chilli Seeds£2.95Superhot Fire Chilli- 1,000,000SHU+!
A gorgeous chocolate-coloured strain of the Bhut Jolokia, this is a true strain from north-east India that was discovered several years ago. Pungency and flavour are very similar to the usual red-coloured pods but some pods grow to an exceptionally large size. It has been named due to its colour and does not taste of chocolate!

Big Jim Chilli Seeds x 12£1.65Officially the world's largest chilli pods, frequently reaching 20 to 30cm in length, borne on dwarf size plants around 60cm in height. Chillies look dramatic as they turn from deep green to dark red in colour. The chillies are fairly mild by the standards of chillies today but their size makes them perfect for stuffing.

Bulgarian Carrot Chilli Seeds x 12£1.45This variety may look like a baby carrot but be warned it can be very hot so don't try to feed them to your pet rabbit. The local name for these chillies is shipkas but its easy to see how they got their nickname. Produces a very high yield of bright orange peppers with a fresh, fruity flavour. Pods are up to 10cm in length borne on a decorative looking plant. Compact plant ideally suited to containers.

Cappa Conic Chilli Seeds x 12£2.50Stunning ornamental chilli with multiple, strong stems and sprays of white, cream, orange and red fruits. These chillies make a beautiful display in the garden or as 'cut flowers'. Chillies are edible but without heat.

Cherry, Large, Chilli Seeds x 12£1.65Large Cherry Chillies are amongst the easiest of chillies to grow. They start to produce their large, irregular, round pods quite early on, although they do take some time to ripen. Plants are large and produce abundant fruit of a medium heat.

Chi Chien Chilli Seeds x 12£1.65Chi Chien is a highly ornamental chilli from China, producing a profusion of pungent and flavoursome pods that stand proud in little clumps on the plant. Pods are around 8-10cm and fairly thin-skinned. Their quite distinctive flavour is perfect for Szechuan dishes and all Chinese food.

Etna Chilli Seeds x 12£1.65Etna is a spectacular-looking eruption of bright red chillies, held aloft the plant in distinct bunches. Etna is at the forefront of fairly recently bred hot and ornamental chillies from Italy. This plant is not just ornamental either, the chillies are a seriously hot at 65,000ScU. Plants are medium sized but produce a good number of chillies. Etna won a Royal Horticultural Society Award Garden Merit in their 2006 Chilli Pepper Trials.
