Cherry Falls F1 is a compact, trailing cherry tomato bred specifically for outdoor growing. It’s a determinate (bush) variety, which means no staking, no side-shoot removal, and very little intervention once planted.
The plants stay low and tidy, reaching around 20 cm in height, but trail well beyond that as they grow. In containers or hanging baskets, the stems cascade naturally, producing long chains of cherry tomatoes that hang clear of the soil and ripen evenly.
This variety performs particularly well outdoors in the UK, including in cooler or more northerly areas where cordon tomatoes can struggle. Although determinate in habit, it produces fruit steadily through the summer rather than in a single flush, making it easy to pick little and often.
The tomatoes themselves are at the larger end of the cherry scale, bright red and evenly shaped. The flavour is sweet with a light acidity that keeps it fresh, making it well suited to salads, snacking and everyday cooking.
Cherry Falls F1 is a good choice where space is limited, or where ease and reliability matter more than plant size or training.
