The Flexigrow Lightbar range includes two versions: a compact single-arm lightbar for smaller growing areas, and the Flexigrow Trio with three arms for wider coverage.
Designed as supplementary grow lights, both versions extend daylight hours and encourage strong, leafy growth in young plants. The light can look unusual to us, but plants are green because they largely reflect green light and absorb blue and red wavelengths far more efficiently. It’s these blue and red wavelengths that plants are most responsive to during early growth.
Used correctly, the lightbars are sufficient to take chilli plugs through to their 1-litre pot stage and are equally suitable for a compact, year-round indoor herb garden.
The lightbars are mounted on flexible, adjustable gooseneck arms, allowing precise positioning over your plants. The single-arm version is ideal for a windowsill, shelf or small tray of plugs, while the Trio offers broader coverage for larger trays or multiple pots.
At 10W for the single-arm lightbar and 30W for the Trio, running costs remain low. Based on 12 hours’ daily use, this equates to approximately 3.2p per day for the single-arm version and 9.7p per day for the Trio, at an electricity rate of 27p per kWh.
These lights are intended as a supplementary lighting source. Chilli plants should still be grown in a warm, bright position such as a sunny windowsill — nothing can compete with the power of natural sunlight.
