Large Cherry is a dependable, mild-to-medium chilli that produces big, round fruits with a crisp, sweet flavour. From seed it grows quickly and reliably, forming compact plants that carry a generous load of firm, glossy pods.

The chillies ripen from green to a deep cherry red and hold their shape beautifully, which makes them especially good for stuffing, roasting and pickling.

Because it’s a Capsicum annuum, germination is fast and straightforward, and the seedlings establish quickly with very little fuss.

The plants stay tidy and manageable in pots but still produce heavily across a long season, even in cooler UK summers. They’re also one of the easiest varieties for new growers thanks to their predictable growth habit and early cropping.
