Tomatoberry is a delightful tomato variety that graced my garden this year. What immediately caught my attention were the masses of tomatoes with their distinct heart-berry shape. These unique fruits dangled from long trusses that reached half the height of the plant. From the very start, it was evident that Tomatoberry was a standout performer.

One of the qualities that made Tomatoberry so appealing is its ease of growth. Even though I started this plant later than intended, it proved to be incredibly resilient. It persevered through the challenging weather in July and August, a period characterised by unexpected rains that posed a heightened risk of diseases like blight. Despite these adverse conditions, Tomatoberry not only survived but thrived, producing an abundance of great-tasting tomatoes.

Indigo Rose, a tomato variety that had intrigued me for some time, found its place in my garden this season. Tigarella, an old heritage tomato variety, was a star in my garden this year. From the moment it started growing, I was impressed by its rapid development. This tomato variety was one of the first to fruit, and its growth habits were solid and easy to manage.

Tigarella ‘s taste was also very good.  Not as sharp as modern varieties, but rich and delicious. A very sweet tomato, making them perfect for adding depth to salads or savouring on their own. This tomato variety didn't just bear fruit once; it kept on producing throughout the entire growing period right into late September.
